CFK has a long-standing project in which we
distribute emergency food to desperately needy
families. Our emphasis is on helping widows with
young children where there is no family assistance
or income. An endless supply of clients exists for
this project. We provide a monthly ration of the
minimum daily requirements recommended by the World
Health Program of the United Nations. The supplies
are purchased by CFK personnel from the local
market, delivered to the clients, and followed up
with in the home visits. CFK attempts to mobilize
the local community to care for its poor families
and seeks to minimize the dependence on our funds.
We try to provide educational assistance where such
help can lead to employment and self-sufficiency.
The spiritual value of this project is high. |
